Infrastructure improvements are coming to a key bridge in the area.
The Michigan Department of Transportation will begin repair work on the US-41 bridge over the Sturgeon River starting August 3. The project will include expansion joint replacement, deck and substructure repairs, and railing patch and crack sealing.
Work will continue through the fall, ending October 23. The $536,000 investment will improve the bridge’s condition and safety.
Travelers should expect minor traffic delays during construction. An alternating lane of traffic will allow drivers to cross the work zone using temporary traffic signals, and a 10-foot lane restriction will be enforced.
