The Tigers dropped a 10-4 decision to the Rangers last night. Texas raked Detroit starter Franber Valdez for five runs on nine hits over five innings. Colt Keith and Hao-Yu Lee homered for Detroit.
The Tigers have today off, and continue that series in Texas tomorrow. Jack Flaherty will start against Kumar Rocker. Coverage will begin at 3:40 on 99.3 The Lift.
Jacob Misiorowski gave up two home runs, as the Brewers lost to the Reds 7-2 yesterday afternoon. Misiorowski struck out 10 batters over five innings, but also gave up five runs, although four were unearned. Garrett Mitchell homered for Milwaukee.
The Brewers visit the Diamondbacks tonight. Kyle Harrison will pitch against Jose Cabrera.
Running
The Fourth of July brings a couple of informal runs to the region. At Baraga County Lumberjack Days, a 5k and a fun run will begin tomorrow morning at 8:00 in front of the Baraga American Legion post. On-site registration opens at 7:00. The fun run in Greenland starts at 9:30, with on-site registration at 9:00 at the park.
