The Michigan Department of Transportation will complete annual maintenance on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge next week over four days.
Starting June 1, MDOT will wash the bridge structure. The annual work will require single lane closures while crews clean the bridge.
MDOT expects lane closures from June 1-4 will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., and from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. each day.
Drivers should slow down when traveling near work crews.
