Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College sends 28 students out into the world as the institution celebrates the end of academic journeys for graduates this evening.
Six of this semester’s graduates will receive dual degrees, with several others earning certificates to begin working in industries.
Ahead of the commencement ceremony, KBOCC will bring together students earning nursing degrees for the inaugural pinning ceremony. The special celebration recognizes students transitioning into the workforce, with each receiving a commemorative pin to remind them of their dedication to health and professionalism.
At commencement, KBOCC has invited Angeline Boulley to deliver an address. She will be joined on stage by co-valedictorians Stephanie Baril and Amber Heikkinen.
The ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. Those interested in viewing the ceremony who want to support the graduates but cannot attend in person can view commencement online via livestream.
