The Gogebic-Ontonagon Forest Assistance Program forester will host a tree pruning workshop next week.
Sawyer Forbes began working in Gogebic and Ontonagon counties in 2025 to lead the region’s Forest Assistance Program. In her role, she has helped landowners plan projects and shared important steps for mitigating invasive species on properties.
The tree pruning workshop will cover how to safely prune fruit trees and strategies for cutting back overgrown yards. The program requires participants to register by email with Forbes.
The workshop will begin at 5 p.m. March 31 at the Ontonagon Theater of Performing Arts.
Learn more about the Gogebic County Tree Pruning Workshop here. The workshop in Gogebic County will take place on Saturday, at the Miners Memorial Heritage Park, beginning at 2pm. Find details for the Ontonagon County Tree Pruning workshop here.
