The Keweenaw Land Trust will partner with UPward Legal for an estate planning workshop Saturday morning.
Several properties maintained by the Keweenaw Land Trust in the Copper Country were donated to the conservation organization through wills. These properties have allowed the public to enjoy spaces in the region that were previously privately owned.
UPward Legal estate and wealth planning professional Traci Ward will help the land trust lead the learning session. The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Marsin Nature Retreat on Red Brick Road in Houghton.
The workshop aims to educate community members about estate planning options, including how property donations can benefit conservation efforts in the region.
