Copper Country teams are well-represented on the All-WestPAC Volleyball Teams, which were released this morning.
Houghton libero Emmy Pietila was named Defensive Specialist of the Year. Ishpeming’s Mya Hemmer was honored as Player of the Year. Krista Squiers from Negaunee was voted Coach of the Year.
Calumet and Hancock shared the conference championship.
Local players on the All-WestPAC first team include Azura Aho, Romey Koskela and Chloe Bastian from Hancock; Jess Anderson and Chloe Coppo from Calumet; Ellie Hainault from Houghton; and Mia Nordstrom from Jeffers.
Second Team honorees include Vaeda Brooks and Alice Larson from Hancock; Millie Loukus and Amiina Tarnowski from Calumet; Claire Johnson and Alyssa Northey from Houghton; and Kylee Andrews from Jeffers.
