All of last night’s Copper Country Fast Pitch Softball League games were rained out
MLB
The Tigers will return from the All-Star break tomorrow evening, when they visit the Rangers. Reese Olson will face Patrick Corbin. Coverage will begin at 7:40 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers’ season will resume tomorrow against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
Elvin Rodriguez is no longer with the Brewers. The reliever was recently designated for assignment. He was claimed off waivers by the Orioles.
The hamstring injury that forced Sal Frelick out of Milwaukee’s game on Sunday has been diagnosed as a minor strain. It’s not been decided if he’ll need time on the injured list.
NHL
The Red Wings have come to terms with their top pick in the recent NHL Draft. Carter Bear has signed a three-year entry-level deal. At age 18, Bear is expected to play another season with the Western Hockey League’s Everett Silvertips.
NBA
The Bucks have signed free agent guard Cole Anthony, who played for the Magic last season. Milwaukee also re-signed wing Chris Livingston to a one-year deal. He’s played sparingly over the past two seasons, but is still just 21 years old.
Canal Run
Online registration continues through tonight for Saturday’s Canal Run. A late, on-site registration session will be held tomorrow from 3 until 8 at Quincy Green. There will be no registration Saturday, except for the Kids Dash. This year’s events include a half marathon, 10-mile run, 10-mile walk, 5-mile run, 5-mile walk, 2-mile run/walk, and adaptive categories for each distance.
