Highland Copper is moving closer to finalizing the engineering design criteria by the end of the third quarter. The Canadian mining company recently announced details on the Copperwood project’s progress since the start of 2025.
The company continues to work toward acquiring a $50 million grant award from MEDC to support road infrastructure improvements at the site. Allowing highland copper to move equipment and tools to the mine.
Additionally, the mining company announced it has awarded phase work bids for the front-end engineering and design contracts to Dra Global, feed water management bids to Fafth, and the tailings disposal facility contract bid to Tetra Tech.
In May Highland Copper completed a metallurgical drill program that took core samples weighing 400 kilograms.
