The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and next Friday can come soon enough. And Thursday too. Dollar Bay has plenty of fun during the summer, but the Fourth of July is a special time of the year for the community.
Next Thursday, the Fourth of July in Dollar Bay starts with an Alumni Basketball game at the Dollar Bay High School. And a Family Fun Night that will include Horse and Wagon rides, refreshments at the VFW hall, and a Kids Concession with the Dollar Bay Volunteer Fire Department. Thursday will also have the community dancing the night away with a street dance with music from Split Shyft.
Friday starts early with families and friends enjoying refreshments with the fire department before lining the street for the annual parade at noon. Then a crowd will rush to the BBQ chicken table, concert in the park, or kids games.
