Summertime is a great time to cruise down the road. Especially if you’re a teenager with plenty of time on your hands. But during the summer teen injuries and deaths involving automobiles trend upward. Next week to help teens across the upper peninsula learn safe driving habits and the rules of the road Michigan State police will host a defensive driving course on June 28th.
Trooper Joe Reanuad says the program teaches students the tools they need to stay safe behind the wheel and what to do in an emergency while driving. Those interested in learning more about the defensive driving course should contact the MSP Wakefield Post at (906) 229-5372.
