Dolly Parton is already in the holiday spirit and it’s only October. The country legend has just published a new Christmas-themed children’s book entitled, Dolly Parton’s Billy the Kid Comes Home for Christmas. Dolly’s new book is a standalone sequel to her earlier New York Times bestseller, Dolly Parton’s Billy the Kid Makes It Big. The new story again follows the adventures of bulldog Billy the Kid, who is struggling to make a choice between performing a Christmas concert or spending the holidays celebrating at home surrounded by his family. Dolly Parton’s Billy the Kid Comes Home for Christmas was written by Parton along with Erica S. Perl, and was illustrated by MacKenzie Haley. It is currently available as a 40-page hardcover picture book, a Kindle edition, and as an audiobook. (Consequence of Sound)
