A 10-day bicycle tour around the Upper Peninsula will kick off this summer to raise funds for families experiencing financial hardship due to childhood cancer.
Tour da Yoop Eh! will begin July 24 from Manistique, taking riders on a journey to Copper Harbor, down to Marquette and around the eastern end with stops in Sault Ste. Marie and St. Ignace.
The annual bike tour raises awareness for bike and road safety while supporting the U.P. Lions Serve Childhood Cancer fund. Since 2020, the event has raised more than $400,000 for the cause.
Each day, bikers complete a 30- to 35-mile leg of the journey before stopping in a town along the route for a meal and rest.
The tour has begun registering riders for the 2026 journey and invites participants to join for even a single day. The Keweenaw Peninsula and Upper Peninsula offer extensive opportunities for mountain biking, road biking and snow biking throughout the region’s trails and communities.
