College Soccer
The MTU women’s soccer team fell 6-0 to Saginaw Valley State yesterday.
The NMU women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Davenport.
The NMU men’s soccer squad lost Saginaw Valley 3-0.
MLB
The Blue Jays defeated the Mariners 6-2 last evening, and evened the American League Championship Series at three wins per team. The series will be decided tonight in Toronto, with the winner advancing to the World Series against the Dodgers.
NHL
Dylan Larkin had two goals and two assists, as the Red Wings downed the Oilers 4-2 yesterday. Rookie Emmitt Finnie scored his first two NHL goals. John Gibson made 16 saves.
The Wings have won five straight, and visit the Sabres on Wednesday. Coverage will begin at 7:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
Lucas Raymond returned to the lineup last night, after missing a couple of games with an upper body injury. Patrick Kane sat out, after a hard crash into the boards late in Friday’s game.
NFL
Josh Jacobs’ one-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes remaining lifted the Packers to a 27-23 come-from-behind victory yesterday.
The 49ers shut down the Falcons 20-10 last night..
