- Lake Linden-Hubbell swept Bessemer 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-18). Ella Schneiderhan led the Lakes with 7 kills. Payton Goldsworthy had 17 assists and 3 kills.

College Soccer
The Michigan Tech women’s soccer team fell 4-1 to Cedarville University last night. Peyton Wetzel scored Tech’s only goal. The Huskies host Northwood tomorrow afternoon.
The Northern Michigan women’s soccer team lost 1-0 to Northwood yesterday.The Wildcats welcome Cedarville tomorrow.
The NMU men’s soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with Lewis University yesterday.
College Volleyball
At the UP North Tournament in Minnesota…
The MTU volleyball team lost 3-2 (25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 15-25, 9-15) to Minnesota-Duluth last night. The Huskies will face Barry University and Saint Cloud State this afternoon.
The NMU volleyball team was swept 3-0 (21-25, 15-25, 16-25) by Barry University yesterday. The Wildcats will meet Adelphi and Saint Cloud State today.
College Football
The Michigan Tech football team plays at Hillsdale tomorrow afternoon.
The Northern Michigan football squad hosts Saint Thomas tomorrow.
MLB
The Tigers fell behind early, and lost to the Yankees 9-3 last evening. Tyler Holton opened, and gave up two runs in the first inning. Sawyer Gipson-Long replaced him in the second inning, and was charged with seven runs before he was chased in the fourth. Dillon Dingler hit his 13th home run of the season.
The Tigers visit the Marlins tonight. Tarik Skubal will start against Sandy Alcantara. Coverage will begin at 6:40 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers had yesterday off, and host the Cardinals tonight. Quinn Priester will pitch against Andre Pallante.
NFL
In last night’s NFL game, the Packers held off the Commanders 27-18. Green Bay’s defense held Washington to just a field goal through the first three quarters. Jordan Love threw two touchdown passes, and Brandon McManus kicked two field goals.
The Lions host the Bears in a 1:00 game Sunday.
