The list – which Bowie titled “Memo for radio show — list of favourite records” – includes artists such as Miles Davis (“Some Day My Prince Will Come”), Roxy Music (“Mother of Pearl”), the Beatles (“Across the Universe”), Jeff Beck (“Beck’s Bolero”), Little Richard (“True Fine Mama”), Ronnie Spector (“Try Some, Buy Some”), The Walker Brothers (“The Electrician”), and Sonic Youth (“Tom Violence”), among others. This eclectic list is part of the vast archive featured at the David Bowie Center in London, which opens to the public on Saturday (September 13).
