In high school volleyball last night…
- Baraga swept Chassell 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-21). For Chassell, Elli Kuntze had 7 kills, 13 digs and 6 aces. Dusty Lippold had 6 kills, 1 block, 2 digs and 2 aces, Oriana Olson had 6 kills, 2 blocks, 5 digs and 2 aces, and Sylvia Aho had 19 assists and 7 digs.

College Soccer
The Michigan Tech women’s soccer team hosts Cedarville University tonight at 6:00.
The Northern Michigan women’s soccer team entertains Northwood this afternoon.
The NMU men’s soccer team plays at Lewis University this afternoon.
College Volleyball
The MTU volleyball team faces Minnesota-Duluth as they open play in the UP North Tournament in Minnesota tonight.

MLB
The Tigers mauled the Yankees 11-1 last evening. Jack Flaherty struck out seven and gave up just two hits over five shutout innings. He left with a 2-0 lead. Detroit broke the game open with five runs in the eighth inning, powered by home runs by Riley Greene and Kerry Carpenter. Colt Keith hit one out as the Tigers plated three more in the ninth. Spencer Torkelson and Dillon Dingler each had three hits.
The Tigers wrap up that series in New York tonight. Tyler Holton will open against Cam Schlittler. Because of NFL football on 99.3 The Lift, we’ll join Tigers baseball in progress after Calumet volleyball on KBear 102.3.
The Brewers couldn’t hold an early lead, and fell to the Rangers 6-3 yesterday. Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio homered. Freddy Peralta had a rare off-day. He struck out nine over five innings, but gave up five runs on six hits.
The Brewers take today off, and host the Cardinals tomorrow. Quinn Priester will pitch against Andre Pallante.
Catcher William Contreras missed last night’s game after taking a foul tip off his left forearm in Tuesday’s contest. He’s considered day-to-day.

In tonight’s NFL game, the Packers host the Commanders. Coverage will begin at 7:00 on 99.3 The Lift.
