Colt Keith’s two-run homer in the seventh inning gave the Tigers a 4-2 victory over the Rays last night. Spencer Torkelson also homered. Jack Flaherty pitched into the seventh, and gave up two runs while striking out eight.
The Tigers have won five straight, and conclude that home set against the Rays this afternoon. Reese Olson will pitch against Zack Littell. Coverage will begin at 12:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
Reliever Alex Lange has been pulled from his rehab assignment after experiencing tightness in his surgically repaired right lat.
Jacob Misiorowski outdueled Clayton Kershaw, as the Brewers got past the Dodgers 3-1 last evening. Misiorowski gave up a run on four hits over six innings, with a dozen strikeouts. Kershaw also went six innings, allowing two runs on six hits. Sal Frelick homered.
The Brewers wrap up that home series against the Dodgers this afternoon. Jose Quintana will start against Tyler Glasnow.
