Sean Ono Lennon, James McCartney, and Zak Starkey – the respective sons of The Beatles’ John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr – have come together on a new track, “Rip Off,” as part of Starkey’s supergroup Mantra of the Cosmos. The song, which follows their 2024 collaboration “Primrose Hill,” was first shared on Sunday (June 15), and features Starkey, Lennon, and McCartney joined by Oasis bassist Andy Bell and Happy Mondays’ Shaun Ryder and Mark “Bez” Berry. Last week, Starkey shared Mantra of the Cosmos’ collaboration with Oasis’ guitarist Noel Gallagher, “Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous).” “Working with people like Noel, Shaun, Andy, and Bez is always a pleasure – these are the greatest musicians of their generation,” Starkey said in a statement. “We have more singles coming this year with some VERY special guests – this is the year of the Mantra!” (Consequence of Sound)
