Compelling Pictures has partnered with Roy Orbison‘s family to develop both a biopic and documentary on the life of the legendary singer, who was known for hits like “Oh, Pretty Woman,” “Crying,” and “Only the Lonely.” The film is tentatively titled You Got It, and the picture will focus on the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s relationship with his wife Barbara, along with his late career resurgence before his untimely death at 52 in 1988. Denis O’Sullivan (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Jeff Kalligheri (I Wanna Dance With Somebody) are set to produce the projects for Compelling Pictures, with Roy’s Boys – comprised of the singer’s three sons, Alex Orbison, Roy Orbison Jr., and Wesley Orbison – serving as executive producers. Orbison’s sons said in a joint statement: “The Orbisons are elated to find the perfect partners in Compelling Pictures for the Roy Orbison biopic. Denis and Jeff’s vision for this journey through Roy’s life is incredible.” (Variety)
