In hockey last evening…
Houghton concluded its season by blanking Calumet 4-0. Jay Halonen scored twice. Jack Sayen and Noah Maillette each had a goal and an assist. Hudson Markham had two assists. Brysyn Nettel started in goal for the Gremlins, but left the game with an injury in the second period. Cooper Flachs completed the shutout, with the two combining to make 19 saves. Hear the game replay here. The Gremlins finish the regular campaign with a record of 17-8. Before the game, the family of the late Tim Frantti accepted the Paul Lehto service award in his name, for his longtime leadership of the Calumet Hockey Association.
- Hancock dropped a 3-2 overtime decision to Marquette. The Bulldogs wrap up their regular season with a record of 8-16.

The Red Wings are off until February 22nd, as the NHL pauses to allow players to compete in the 4 Nations Face-Off.
NBA
The Pistons demolished the Bulls 132-92 last night. Detroit led by 42 at halftime. Six Pistons reached double figures in scoring, led by Malik Beasley with 24 points, and Cade Cunningham with 20. Beasley drained seven three-pointers, and set a new team record for most treys in a season.

Detroit Tigers pitchers and catchers begin spring training workouts today in Lakeland, Florida. Position players will begin training Monday. Listen for selected spring training games and the full regular season on 99.3 The Lift.
