A scheduling conference in the Evan Dixon trial has been postponed. A hearing that was supposed to take place on Friday in the Houghton County 12th circuit court has been postponed until January 2nd. Dixon plead not guilty to murder and a felony firearms charges in September. He was arrested in November 2023 in connection with the death of Theron Duncan in Houghton. A Marquette County Circuit Court judge will preside over the hearing. Dixon’s career practicing law in Houghton County recused county judges Britney Bulliet and Nicholas Davatellia from the case.
