Evan Dixon pleads not guilty to charges of first-degree murder. On Monday in Houghton County Circuit Court Dixon pleaded not guilty to one charge of first-degree murder and one felony firearms charge. He stands accused of the murder of Theorn Duncan in November 2023. Dixon has been housed in the Houghton county jail since his arraignment in November last year. Marquette County Circuit Court Judge Matthew Wiese will preside over the case. Dixon practiced law in Houghton County for several years, making the county’s judge ineligible to precede over the case. A scheduled conference has been set for November 1st.
